What Kind of Bell

Hi all. My wife found the small bell in the pics while detecting in a Chicago woods. We think that it could be a sheep bell, but are not sure. We are not sure about the metal the body of the bell was made of, either. We know that the clapper is iron. Any help would be appreciated.

Does yours have the little marks around them ?Could you post some pics?The only reason i ask is i find beads some times with the same scratch marks.

Yes, the handmade marks are all around the bell. It was also painted metallic gray I think.

they are still handcrafted today, so they do look old
