Dug this today. Big around as a dime with a hole drilled through the length. Weighs 40.5g.
Could it be from a throw net?

Could be a river sinker for rod and feel fishing. Heavy you keep bait in place !!!

Good call Charlie!! If you put a red bead between the sinker and the swivel it would be called a Carolina rig down here in the South East.
