What kind of metal is this? metal detecting find.

It does not stick to a magnet it picked up on the metal detector pretty strong for how small it is,had a low frequency beep, found in Pennsylvania.....

Maybe cast iron

You will have to take a file to it and see what it looks like under the corrosion. Looks like cast aluminum to me.
