what kind of metal

maybe someone can tell me what kind of metal this is.....it rang up in pulltab range on my detector....but seems to heavy for aluminum....feels like and looks like its rusted....but its non magnetic.....seems it could have been plated but not sure....looks like it could be copper....but no patina.....any ideas......found in yard of a 1964 built home.....thanks.....barry

I have found similar jewelry that looks like that. I think that it is copper that is plated. I have also found a lot of spoons that have that patina.
