It looks to me to be a style of revolver called "British Bulldog". This style was produced by many manufacturers. An exact identification is probably impossible to the degraded condition of your find. Still, a very cool find.
Here is an example that has a folding trigger. Others had a full trigger guard around a standard style trigger.
I think it is of the "Bulldog" family of revolvers for sure. A toy usually had the ejector rod formed into the potmetal frame rather than seperate as in yours. Monty
