It looks to me to be a style of revolver called "British Bulldog". This style was produced by many manufacturers. An exact identification is probably impossible to the degraded condition of your find. Still, a very cool find. :thumbsup:

Here is an example that has a folding trigger. Others had a full trigger guard around a standard style trigger.

I think it is of the "Bulldog" family of revolvers for sure. A toy usually had the ejector rod formed into the potmetal frame rather than seperate as in yours. Monty

If we could get a pic of the back strap that would help. The pic doesn't look like it had a external hammer?

The hammer and trigger are rusted away or were missing when the gun went into the ground, I think? Monty
