what metal to keep

Hi everyone, guess I have missed this section to date. I have been keeping all of the copper wire I find on jobsites while I'm at work, and stripping it on my lunch break. I have been wondering though if these big chunks of metal I dig up from time to time while MDing (like old plow blades etc) are worth keeping to recycle? They are quite heavy and not very big for their weight. Is this worth anything or worth holding on to to bring in when I get a pile of it? they must be made of steel or cast iron right? they rang up as dimes or pennies on my Ace.
