What newer clad do you typically keep?

As you may expect, many are in fair condition. I have looked in a coin book, but you really have to have coins that are fine or better to keep. What newer coins do you typically keep? Unless it is a obviously good coin to keep, I typically take them to the bank and get my money back at the end-of-the-year.

Oh, the only reason I was keeping track of the number of coins for different dates was that I am curious what I find at various places.

maybe its not the best thing to do, but i dont keep any of them. i just throw them in a cigar box until i have enough to make it worth while to drop in a coinstar machine. i only hang on to silver coins and wheaties. ( and indian heads)

I just started so have been keeping everything also for now. I plan to just start rolling them up and keeping the money in my paypall checking account. I am going to keep all the silver and when I get to 1000 or so I will buy a DFX or something good like that.

I keep state quarters if they're in top condition, also if I find any Kennedy half dollars, or Eisenhower, Sacagawea, or Susan B. Anthony dollars, I'm keeping those. If I find any mint error coins (nothin' yet!) I'll keep those too.

Too bad people don't drop proof coins

Oh yes, I forgot: those new design Jefferson nickels are pretty nice, too. Haven't found any yet, but if I do, I'll keep those too.

I keep it all. I look at it as Pirate Loot. Arrrrgh. (note eye patch and parrot on shoulder, oh and the hook or better yet metal detector attached to my arm.) I intend to keep hoarding it all, until such time as I am so desparate that I need to cash it in.

Oh, and I don't even clean it. I just throw it in a 1qt Ziploc Twist and Seal jar.
