What the heck happened to Aluminum Jelly?

Any idea why it was discontinued? That stuff was great for cleaning gilt buttons and even a quick application would remove tough encrustations on things. Very disappointed to see it gone. Any suggestions for substitutes? Thanks.

Thanks. There's only one seller on eBay (that I can see) selling bottles for $200 All the other stuff is Naval Jelly which is not the same stuff as Aluminum Jelly. Still wondering why the stuff was pulled--I can't find an answer on the Internet.

OK I'll have to go with what You Say.
Since when I search Aluminum Jelly it Goes to Navel Jelly & I doubt it is for Filling Belly Buttons
I took for Granted they were the Same Difference .

I Have an 8oz Container of Duro Aluminum Jelly

Maybe it is bad for the environment. I use to get aluminum cleaner by the gallon at auto body supply or auto parts stores. I think it is to be diluted and applied with a carwash brush for large trucks. Sure left the aluminum wheels on my truck with a brilliant shine.
