what to get?

Ok folks heres my dilema. I have an Ace 250, I've had some success in the sand but now I wan to get wet. I live about 2.5 hours from the beaches so I don't get there too often but I live very close to an active swimming hole that I think could be virgin area.
I'm hoping not to spend a fortune and I also hoping for a visual display( do they even make one).

no visual display on water machines that i know of unless you count l.e.d.s..... whites bhid has indicator lights, cz 20 has indicator lights. there may be some others out there. my advice would be , buy a good used bhid, cz20 or excalibur.

seeker41 is correct, no visual display available for water proof detector.. I would recommend the following. I am partial to Minelab for various personal reasons, but list is not meant to be in any paticular order after the Minelab............

Minelab Excalibur (I currently used and love it.)
Whites Beach Hunter 300 / Whites Beach Hunter ID (I owned a BH ID, and loved it but it leaked twice on me and I traded it, I would recommend the BH 300 first)
Tesoro Sand Shark (Never used, but heard many good comments)
Garrett Infinium LS (Never used, but heard many good comments)
