Garrett AT Pro is very friendly I also swing one on occasion. I like it. Easy to use. Affordable

Friend of mine bought his wife a mine lab go find 66 and she likes it. Not a bad price either.

Quest Q10. Best bang for the buck. Cheap, light, goes deep, fast recovery and has also backlight for night hunting. Look on YouTube and convince yourself.

thanks all for the responses..if anyone has a quest detector for sale..let me know..tys

What did you use just starting out? You list a Minelab 600. Make sure you get a cheap, easy one, her being a female and all. Good grief.

One of the Garrett Ace series. The AT Pro is very good, a little heavy for a lady perhaps, perhaps not. Lots of deals on them used right now however.

Eurotek Pro is a terrific and easy to use unit. Buy it direct from Teknetics where it is sold as the Minuteman. This thing is the best value out there - $149 with a coupon which you can get on the Minuteman page.

She may be less than fully satisfied with the Minute man at night time....oh, wait a minute, where am I, tnet? metal detectors? oh, nevermind...
