What your impression of this large flint piece?

Found this in the spring of 2010.....it was frozen in the mud. It is large and heavy...has the basic shape of a stemmed point but as thick as it is I can't figure out what was going on with it. Do you think it was finished and that one end might have been a hafing area while the other end might have come to a point or scraper end? Or could it be that it was a work in progress but they never got through material reduction?

My guess is a broken hoe......

My guess is broken hoe/farming tool, too. Keep your eye out for the rest of it. You never know...

There is no doubt it is a broken artifact, I think it is a hoe.... I would walk that crek somemore, look on the down stream side of anything that blocks the flow of the current durring flooding, that is where I found a good majority of my creek finds...
