whats a good tesoro to use for small streams

hello again , its been a while since ive posted on this site , i have a bandido 2 umax , i was wondering if yu could buy an waterproof coil for this detector , i wont be detecting probablt no more than 2 ft of water , but would like a detector that i could go a little deeper with , thers some holes like 3 or 4 ft in this river , any ideas on a detector around 100 to 200 buck for this purpose, tesoro ?

All Tesoro coils are waterproof. For your price range, you'd have to do a waterproof mod yourself. Tiger Sharks usually usually run close to $400 used and don't become available often. There is another thread about their connector issue, supposedly they doing some final testing on new connectors and more will available soon.

The only water unit I know of under $200 is the GC-1029. It is also marketed as the MD9600 and MD6000. I wouldn't suggest buying one as they often die after the first use. Walmart sold them last summer for $50 and they were overpriced at that.

Also you might try keeping an out for a Detector Pro Pirate. Just under $300 new, I've seen a couple recently for around $200 used.
