whats the best time of day to detect

when are the best times to go detecting before parks and beaches get ravaged by other detectorists? i usually go when i get off work around 5p.m. but i dont usually seem to do that well during those times. what do you suggest?

late at nite or at the latest 5 - 6 in the morning.

Personally, if the park is open, I like to hit it early morning before anyone gets there. Late afternoon to dark is a good time too.

I guess the best time would be after a nice soaking rain. Soft ground, better signals!

I like to get out in early morning before it gets hot in the Summer I would hunt in early morning then wait till it cools down in the evening
