Awesome thanks that confirms the area of the site I am at. You see the house is not visible and there's mesquite and trees around so I have old family drawings that aren't scale.

Umbrella part, I agree.
It's called a flange (slotted, grooved and perforated).

Agreed. It's from an umbrella. I find lots of those at sites dating between 1650-1900. I have no clue how to date them other than in context of nearby finds. Keep looking, more oldies are close by!
