What's this little guy about?

Found him yesterday. The back has solder marks where a pin must have been attached, a broche type of pin that is. My batteries just went caput or I would have posted a rear shot.

Thanks MP... I don't remember a post a few weeks ago, but I do remember my sister had these pins 30+ years ago! This site will give more information... if interested.
