Ok, so I didn't dig it up, but I got it in change the other day at the shell station. I went back a bit later to ask if there were any more in the register but no luck.

Great find, do you know what causes the finger print image on the coin. I have one that looks just like that & If my memory serves me right it is the same year.
 
is it just my eyes or is liberty and the date doubled?

I just some coin roll hunting back in Jan. and pulled out a bunch of wheats in the 50's that looked similar. The coin wrapper had some hand writting on them and looks to have been rolled about the same time period. The coins were hardly circulated. You did find a good looking wheatie :headbang:
 
Nice one! Wipe off that fingerprint near the date area before it worsens and becomes more and more prominent. 8)
