I had a mostly solo hunt for 6 hours & Cru'Dad did just over 1 hour. We needed to stay close to home, so picked a field we haven't done in 5 years. It wasn't on this list & had no settlement on it, but it can throw up most time periods.
Cru'Dad pinched the only hammered of the day with his short stint.:tongue3:

2 Roman Coins
Lead Spindle Whorl
Rose Farthing
2 Lead Tokens
14th C Buckle
Spec. Buckle
Roman Fibula - 1st C AD
Medieval Horse Pendant
Folded over Tudor Book Clasp
Hammered - Henry III Cut halfpenny
A new type for us - Early 1800s Military Button (Officers) - Researching an ID.8-)

Amazing finds!! Keepers--you found a bit of everything! Great job. Lisa & John

Cru and CruDad, knocking it way over the woods ... and into the wheat field.

Much gilt survived on these buttons. What time is this rectangular shaped horse pendant?

It's 14th C.
Part of what they call Peytrel or Beast Collar, like a modern day girth strap. This one is the only found, before this one they were clueless about where on the horse this type was situated; (2010 I think)

Amazing story behind that Peytrel find in Ire. Must been impressive to see a horse with shining collar, sparkle in the sun.... Another piece of history saved!

Yeap, I meant collar around the neck, girth strap was wrong.

Scrappies added to top.
