Wheat War #89. We have not posted in while, but this was such a good battle we thought we should start posting again.
Tanner searched a $25 box of cents in plastic wrappers, purchased from Huntington Bank in Bowling Green, OH. Dad searched $25 of cents purchased $5 at a time from banks in Oakland County, MI while searching for halves. Dad won the Battle with 15 wheats (oldest 1938 s) this coin was still needed for our found in the wild book.:hello2: It has been about 2 months since we have filled a hole. Dad also found 2 King Georges 1951, 1951, a nice 1958 d (upgrade), a 1980 Bahama starfish coin and 13 common wheats.

Tanner found 15 wheats as well, but since dad found 2 KG's (tie breakers) dad was declared the winner. Tanner's oldest was a 1928. Tanner also found 2 upgrades for our collection a 1950s and a 1954s. Tanner also found silver dime in a cent roll (our first):headbang: a 1956 dime as well as three common dates, two JFK tokens and 12 common wheats.

Keep on Searching

Solid Rolls can we get a chime in on this? What are the odds of a silver dime instead of a clad making its way into a MWR? Cool stuff.
