Recent permission at a friend's home yielded wheaties and "what's its"?....The older buckles and ed items suggested history prior to the 1930s....but not sure of what these odd finds might be. I do recognize a harmonica reed which is the longest I have found and a little thicker gauge metal than others.
Interestingly, I met the neighbor who said I could detect there as well (but has been detected before) and then was approached by two folks..a nice father and son pair who was asking the neighbor to metal detect a nearby property! They belong to a high school metal detecting club! They came away with silver...and a couple of spills! On a previous hunt in another area the son found a 1600s coin! I am jealous!
Nice to meet some fellow detectorists!
