Hunt in between the rain, lots of rain in the past two days, today around 1pm the rain seize a little and managed to get out for about 2 hours. The wheats quickly pile up to 8 pieces, 1916 D being the oldest. 1949 Jefferson nickel, 2 modern tokens, a no cash value type and a recent MTA bus token. Two buttons, don't think they are that old. Junker ring from the tot lot. As always saving the best for last, about 4 inches down i get this vintage fountain pen, I quickly notice it was a Sheaffer and immediately looked at the nib and sure enough 14K, my third gold this year, all have been 14K. The other golden parts in the pen are Electroplated gold, but the nib is true 14K so I'm definitely counting it as a gold. Probably my smallest gold but sure like it. HH n GL to all.
