Well I passed the addiction on to my daughter, so Sunday she wanted to go out. It was 25 and wind blowing around 15mph. So lets go.
Many pull tabs, copper fittings, and the brass from a light bulb, I got the first wheat 1958. About a half hour later, I got the pendent 14k, my first gold. Another 50yds and I was getting a 77/78 which is close for a copper penny. Mixed in with that a random 90. 8 or 9 inches down out pops the quarter. Wow my first silver quarter, filled the hole in. Went to walk over to show the daughter (COIL2SOIL) and when the detector passed over the hole I just filled in, I heard that penny tone I had forgot about. Dug it back up and there was the two wheat pennies, I had left behind, both 1946.
