Got my wheats and a lone mercury dime today. Never a bad mix. While going to various schools and ballfields, I often think where is the silver? I have to remind myself that nearly every spot I have visited are well known public places and no doubt have been hammered over the years by skilled and unskilled detectorists alike, have been backfilled or modified at the ground level and any of a number of conditions that can change whether or not you find the targets you seek.

I say that to say this: I gives me a smile to find these coins when no doubt others have missed or felt they had "found it all". It's never truly "hunted out". These places help me become a better detectorist and steward of the hobby we enjoy.

Keep swinging!

Best,
Hunter

great finds to add to your collection my friend

Congrats on never giving up on a spot.

Good job! 🙌 When I do old baseball fields, two of the first places I check is behind first n second bases. Seems I always score there.

Nice looking Merc!
