Wheeler Plantation - Chickamauga, GA 1898 camp Geo. H. Thomas Question

It seems that most of this 1898 camp was in the Chickamauga National battle field.

Does anyone know if parts of it or any staging areas are OUTSIDE of Chickamauga National Battlefield since hunting on a national battlefield would prove very risky.
