I went to the Minelab website and sent them an email inquiring about where to send a detector for repair and have not gotten a reply yet.

Anyone have any info? I didn't see anything on their website. Not a very comforting thing. Whites directs you to the closest service center. I emailed Whites and they responded within 8 hours.

I sent mine to Vegas. I had to CALL them because they do NOT answer emails.

I took mine in in person and it took them about an hour to fix.Great little bar at the corner to pass the time away with goodlooking bar girl.

Thanks for the info warsaw and MasterEagle. I tried the number and got the "number not in service". :dontknow:

Looked at the web site again and the correct number is 702 -891 -8809.

I called and the gal said to send it in "with a note". 2-3 week estimate turnaround.

They must have slowed way down then because I sent mine in on a Monday and had it back the following Monday with a new circuit board and power connector and a $52.95 bill including S&H.

Ok, 7 weeks later I finally get the call. Coil has to be replaced. $200. They are shipping it out today.

7 weeks is not a very good turn around time. I think too many people are buying Minelabs! :pain10:

I would certainly have a problem with that type of service. I don't want to get
on the wrong side of my buddy "warsawdaddy", but I'll stick with "White's.
I think you will find in reading posts on this net, that they handle things much
differently in Oregon. "Enough Said". Not trying to discredit anyones integrity
or professionalism.
