Where have all the halves gone?

I hit up a handfull of banks yesterday. Only one of which carried halves. The teller knew offhand EXACTLY how many were in the vault ($960). I got excited and asked for $100 worth. She told me they were ALL from 2000, is that ok? I was hoping for some rolls to search. I picked up a couple of rolls anyways. They are brand new rolls.
None of the other banks carried them unless they were brought in by a customer.
My salute to the forgotten currency, the half dollar.

Keep trying, go to Mapquest and enter "banks" and your zip. You will get a map of all the banks in your area. Ask at the banks to buy the coin counting machine bags. Order a box at a bank and find another to dump the rejects at and Good Luck in the hunt
