So true. I don't mean to hi jack this post but I have an Idea. I would like to set a day aside where everyone could go do a dig. And at the end of that day we post our finds in one post in memory of surf. It doesn't matter how common or broken your finds are. I think this could be fun good way to memorialize the man. It may be stupid but let me know your thoughts.

Thank ya'll so much for letting me know. He was always so,so helpful to me and never minded answering questions about bottles and bottle digging and had a quirky sense of humor.He will ( and is)missed for sure.Relic Dude I think that's a great idea.

Surf was my friend for 7 years. And it hurts to know he is gone.

I can't say it enough- this forum has made-- no *created* friends and allies where there would have been none. And my throat still tightens when I see Surf brought up in a post or thread. I think it's a GREAT idea RelicDude. I would be more than happy to participate. I have 2 'Pepsimint' bottles to prove his acumen in helping folks figure things out. I tried for YEARS to find out what they were- and he knew. Actually his family that produced them (or the product within). I owe something to him, and this was be a wonderful way to memorialize his contribution to this website and forum. Let's set a date, no? Yakker

Let's get out there down in the dumps and dig up some awesome bots in a salute to Surf. My mom's an old hag so I'm just gonna throw her a box of Turtles in the am, then I'm headed straight to the old bottle dump for the rest of the day. I will be thinking about surf.
