Hi everyone, I hope you all had a great weekend, with lots of great finds and fun!

Chug was able to get all his work done early, and his boss was so cool, she gave him Friday off, with pay!

It was supposed to be dry, with sun breaks, instead it was cloudy and kind of spitting, little drops here and there. Did that stop us? Nope, we headed out anyway, and back to the new park we went, you know the one, it's where Chug got his nine penny pocket spill, all in Wheaties! Where there are Wheaties, there just has to be silver, right?

We headed to new spots, we went up the hill a little, then a little more, and soon we reached the top, the view was incredible, unfortunately my battery died in my camera, I did manage to get one shot with it, but it's blurry. We both find pennies, some are so dirty and stained, it's hard to tell if they are pennies or dimes. I scared Chug when I got a really good nickel/pull-tab sound, since we were in a new spot, I decided to dig the signal, then I started screaming and laughing, Chug comes over to see what I had found, and I showed him my new friend, he's a little bony, I don't think he has eaten for awhile. First ring of the year!

Chug thought for sure I had found gold, he was hoping so that the Christmas tree can come down, I told him it's staying up til one of us finds gold! LOL

Soon the rain was coming down harder, our knees were soaked and we were cold, Chug suggested we stop for lunch, and see if the rain would stop, there was no way we were ready to stop for the day.
Turns out he had a great idea, by the time we had finished eating and using the facilities, the rain had stopped. We headed back to the park, and decided to hunt in the area where Chug had found all the Wheaties. We were having fun, but soon noticed we were being watched, some guy on his bike, I swear he was on something, he was talking on his cell phone, and he kept putting his head on his arms, which were draped on his handlebars. Pretty soon, we get the question, you know the one, "Find any gold?" we ignored him, and he asked again, this time I said no, well, he must have had a problem with how I answered him, the next thing you know, he's trying to pick a fight with us, Chug was on the ground nearby, he took off his headphones, put down his pro pointer and picks up his digger, I have mine ready to pull out, and thankfully the jerk decided to be smart and left, why do they have to be so stupid?

Chug wins for best find, he had an iffy signal, but it repeated just enough for him to be curious, he finds this little beauty about 4 inches down, and it still had some of the original metal fragments for his machine to pick it up. the milk glass is beautiful, especially when you hold it up to the light. It has some hairline fractures in it, but it is still beautiful! It deserves a special place on the next shadow box I do. I found a part of something, not sure what, Chug thinks this may be the back of a pocket watch, I also scored my first fork, an old one, I kept hitting multiple signals, Buttercup was screaming a few tones, that was enough for me, down I go, the first part I pulled out was the end, then the tines, we figure it's from the late 1800's. I also found my first game token, from Tilt, and guess what? where there are Wheaties, there is silver, my first! We had an amazing day, except for the jerk, we are going back next weekend, it's a great place to hunt, and there is a lot of land to cover. And for those of you who keep finding garbage, it's ok, sometimes you have to dig the bad to get the good, here is our bucket that we started in January and finally, for those of you who like my jewelry, here is another one, I think this one is one of my favorites! The gold braid going across the stone was an earing Chug had found, it's 14 karat! I hope you all have a great week, stay safe and take care! Red

About the wheaties versus silver? There's one aspect to that theory that people tend to forget. It might be there has to be silver, OR, (with so many people hunting anymore), there USED to be silver. I'll pray that's not the case where you are digging.

We are always watchful of each other When detecting, If any body put a Hand on Red They wouldn't Have a Chance!!! of ever talking to the Police Because I would Hunt them Down!!!!
