cant tell you where to buy insurance, but i will tell you what i do,if you keep your collection at home you should be covered under your homeowners insurance,or renters insurance, would check with them to see what their policy is.i keep my stuff catologued on the computer with pictures, and have it backed up on a cd.so if they were to ever get stolen from my home i have proof of ownership and visual documentation.it is a little time consuming to get all of it catologued on the computer but it sure beats the feeling of total loss if they were to get stolen, and all the time and money you have invested in hunting/collecting wont be for nothing if they were to be stolen.

i did they wanted pictures ,apraisels, and so on then adjust my coverage they came up with a amount of almost 1300.00 dollars more a year for all of my collections coins, pottery, artifacts, fossils, and civil war i thout that sounded a little high.

yea dog that sounds way to expensive- 100 extra a month.there was no added premium to my insurance.there is already a set amount covered under my policy,i just have to have proof of ownership and value.the appraisal part of it you shouldnt have to come into play until after they were stolen, thats what all the pics and documentation is for.insurance companies suck.

When I talked to my insurance agent about insuring my collection I was told that I would have to it appraised and the high end items would have to be appraised and insured seperately and that it could run into a lot of money, so I just invested in some really good locks and security lights all around the house.
