Depends what you are looking for. If you want some quick coins and cheap jewelry, detect parks. If you want relics, search around old houses and sites where old buildings used to be. If you want spanish gold, detect the Carribean.

If I was looking for a good spot ,I would go where you found the musket ball .that should tell you that at one time there was something around there from an early time period...I have no idea where you live but most areas have some early history..Start by asking some of the old timers in your area about early history in the town.....hope that helps.......Seeker

Welcome to the forum Zack. Treasures are all over. You just need to do some research of the town you live in or ones close by. Check out the parks, ball fields, any place were people have gather now or in the past. I live in the woods, so I do a lot there. Not many coins but lots of relics. Just keep reading the forum, you see many folks searching many types of different places. Good luck. Post some pictures of your finds.
