I got up early to get some work done. But when I saw that it hadn't rained overnight, that's all I needed for an excuse to get out. Went to a local park that has been pounded over 30 years and if you can even find any clad there, you're doing good.
I dug the button and play money first, then after 3hrs. only a 44 wheat to show for blowing off my
work. ??? I was starting to think that maybe I should have got my work done instead of playing hooky.
Then my next swing produced a one way signal. I turned 90 degrees and got a solid pull tab sound.
Moved the coil over an inch and heard that sweet dime tone. :hello2:
From only 3" the Barber dime came up. I'm on board baby! And yep, the pull tab was an inch away and 2" deep.

Hope you guys got out and scored some goodies today!

ALL ABOARD! What a way to get on the boat, Jon. I joined the 2010 silver club today as well, but scratch that (pun intended), this is about YOU!

Been awhile since I found a Barber dime. Wish me luck.

Joe

Excellent Job
Congrats on the Barber. Those kind of hunts are funny when there is zero success and then at the very end when you are most frustrated, you get a goody. I don't know which experience I like more, hitting the goody in the first 5 minutes then 3 hours of nothing or 3 hours of nothing then the goody. I think the former gives more moral during the hunt. The latter may give a greater sense of pride...

WHOA nice job pulling that Barber dime from there! You aren't kidding about doing good if you are even finding clad there... that place has been combed and parted so many times it's getting super thin. Because of days like today though we keep going back and every now and then are rewarded big time! Ok, so it's 1-0, you are in the lead! Congrats!!!!

CONGRATS ON YOUR FIRST. I'M STILL SEARCHING TO GET ON THE BOARD.

Great find, John!!!

A Barberian dime is a good firstie! :)

I have to say, in my opinion, that dated 50's play penny is at least as good as a Merc!

WTG on the Barber as your first silver of the year!

WTG on the barber, John!

Nice Barber John!
You never know when something like that will pop out of a "hunted out" ::) park.

Congrats getting on board. Nice Barber!

Congrats buddy!!! :icon_pirat:
