While hunting a shelter cave for flint....

We spent New Years weekend in Calwell Co, KY. We spent most of our time in the creeks ans cave shelters. While sifting some dirt under the shelter, we found many nice hunks of flint....so good points though.....and we also found this tooth, which I am guessing a cow....but feel free to enlighten me....and also dug up this worn out barber. Date is long gone....as is most of the rest....but I was real happy to find it in the cave. Here are a few pics of where we were.

We hope to find some points. We found several 2-3 inch pieces of flint....so I think we are on the right track.

Beautiful pictures. Seeing the coin and tooth makes me wonder what a metal detector may reveal in there. Sure looks like they would hold some artifacts as well. Good luck there and thanks for sharin.

I will let you know. We will probably go down there in the next couple weeks. It is a pretty big place....and I was quite surprised I found this coin. Maybe....just maybe there is a few more!
