white PI1000 underwater questions

im new to surf and beach detecting
i have a underwater whites which i have used diving could i use this wading in the surf does anyone have a experence at this

idont see any problem the coil dont know if it is 2in under the water or 20 ft

Sure it will work.Still have my old 1000,with a 3000 undate.It is very bouyant,which
can wear out your arm.I mounted the head under the cuff with a custom made
bracket out of plexiglass.A lot more comfortable.Has pretty good depth,and is
fairly sensitive. I kind of like the old ticker type of sound compared to the squeal that
some PI's have.Just have to retune regularly.Have found some nice rings with it.
Was my first water machine.It has been resting for a few years while the Excals do
the work.But can still work if it has to.HH Joe.
