whites 6000di coinmaster help needed

Hello, I picked up a whites 6000di series 2 today and I can not get it to make any sounds or needle movement other then the battery check. On battery check mode the needle will move to where it says foil/10 and that's it. The batteries also get very hot when its in the battery test mode. Does anyone have a service manual for this model? I have read about this model and really want to fix it. I can also do some electronic work. My email is camarolt1guy@gmail.com thanks for any help.

Ensure your batteries are fully charged and inserted with the correct polarity.
