Anyone having problems with their Dual Field Coil Failing? I just had my coil replaced for the second time. Whites service told me that over time small holes develop in the epoxy that holds the upper and lower coils together when used in a salty environment. Are you kidding me? If they are aware of this problem, why wouldn't they immerse the coil in a solution similar to a bed liner at the end of the manufacturing process. Where is Quality Control? Is there no Quality Control because it"s made in China? I'm going to try to seal the coil myself. I have always had a coil cover on it. A lot of good that did! If it fails again it goes in the trash and my Journey with Whites ends. I still have my DFX that I've had since 2002 or 2003
back then I'm sure they were made in America

I've had some issues recently with my Duel Field. Was wondering what yours was doing when you determined the coil was bad. Sometimes mine sounds off at the end of the swing to the left or right. Did you have that issue?

I have 2 Dual fields and no problems. I also have 2 Pi pros with no problems. Strange that the coil leaked. It is a fairly thin plastic. TommyB make sure your coil cable is taped tight to the shaft. A loose cable can make a noise.

Hey Tommy,
Make sure the sand, that may have collected between the coil and the coil cover, is cleaned out to reduce falsing on the swings.
