Which do you think is better, 6000 DI Series II, or the Classic ID?

Also, what are the differences between the Series II and the Series III?

Looking at some used detectors for a gift.

My 6000 Di II was a work horse. I can't compare because I never used any of the others. I can't imagine they could be any better. I miss mine. Stupidity on my part was the down fall of my White. I forgot it was in my car trunk for five days at the airport. all 100 degree days. I am retired and can't affored another one. Hope this helps.

The one problem with the older Whites detectors is the reliance on C cells. Very pricey. Of course, there's nothing stopping a person from getting rechargeables. ...Willy.
