Nope, you'd be losing....if it comes with a smaller coil, be better in trashier areas.

It would give you a nice backup or loaner detector, but I would be using the MXT and loaning the M6 to a friend to detect with you and hopefully you won't have any problems with your MXT so you won't need a backup. They do use the same coils as well, same battery tray, lower rod is probably the same, there's a few parts you can use on either detector if you need to. HH
 

I love my m6 because I am able to use it in single tone mode, then flip the toggle at your fingertips and have multiple tone ID. I find the single tones audio to be much cleaner and disc seems to be better. It's a great machine with good depth.
 

I keep my disc as low as possible due to the iron bleed thru, esp when using tones
