Back at the late 1700s home/courthouse I haven't been to in a while (thought I cleaned it out). I've pulled about 30 buttons, 10 unidentifiable thin coppers, 2 half reales and a barber half from here.

The owner had cleaned out a lot of brush and hit a few areas I previously haven't been able to get to.

Came away with a whizzer toy...im convinced it used to be a coin. It's really thin and I can't make out any details.

Also got a beautiful 1865 Indian Head penny. Probably the nicest looking IH I've ever found.

Great find. And you'll probably never dig a better looking IHC than that. That is spectacular, especially for a dug coin.

Great looking IHP, and nice old whizzer too!!

NO coin I have ever dug gets me as excited as a fresh drop Indian Head Cent with even green patina such as the one you were so blessed to recover. She is absolutely gorgeous and makes many Gold Rings jealous. I'd take that there Indian over a lot of silver coins any day. Good on you my friend. Enjoy that lovely coin.:love10:

Sweet looking Indian for sure! Nature was good to it.

Cool whizzer. That will give you something to do on those cold winter days, looking out the window at all that snow!

Oh so THAT is a what a nearly newly minted Indian Head penny looks like! [emoji106]🏻
