I am having a sweet run of luck lately! I hit a few banks and turned up nothing but clad. Stopped at another, teller said she had $3.50 loose - the business teller speaks up and says "I have $60 worth". I only had $55 by that time so I took 5 of her rolls and the $3.50.
The rolls had address stickers with a name that sounded like an older woman and all the wrappers were new. My first thought was another CRHer or maybe a woman dumping them for her CRH husband. I just try not to get my hopes up. I open the first roll as soon as I get in the van: "Hello there Mr. Franklin!" All 5 rolls are loaded with silver! I hit the ATM, get some cash, and go back in for the last roll. I ask if she cashed in any other coins, but the teller says those have already been distributed. She says the halves are there because nobody ever wants them.
Well, the last roll was as good as the first five. Totals were:
