The bulldozers have started pushing the sand up into berms and I thought it might help open up some deeper sand for oldies but it didn't seem to work. Someone might have beat me to it though as I saw a bunch of 6-8inch holes in the sand. I did get some decent clad for only an hour and half of hunting. Decent quarter to penny ratio at least. And also found the dog tag which is missing the dog.

Each year the bull dozers plow up the sand into berms as some kind of snow fence or something. Or maybe to remind people the beach is closed?

As for the dog tag, read the message as if you were the dog... I understand people put this on collars to protect the dog in case it goes missing.

Hey Jason, any more beach reports? The recent wind may have also helped out with some sifting out there along the stretches, especially if there's waves breaking on the SE facing beaches.

Anyone hitting the sand soon?

The waves have been huge but I haven't been back out by the beach yet this week.

I did see some major ground work being done along LaSalle between LSD and Clark street. They have those pedestrian viaducts under LaSalle all tore up. I am thinking about swinging the coil over there but there is all the orange fencing up around it and I don't know if its off limits...
