Ok, well a week or so ago I was absolutely stunned to find an 1858 flying eagle penny in a sand tot lot. Couldn't figure out if some kid lost their dad's luck penny or if it came from a beach somewhere and was just with the sand. I wasn't able to finish that day because lots of moms and kids showed up. I went back today to check carefully, JUST IN CASE.... Well, that was good advice! I found my first Indian Head Penny!! In a tot lot!! It is toasted and I can't read the date, but I really don't care! Just had to share.
