Could be Olivine https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Olivine We see it in Arizona gold country

Yes, they look like Peridot.

Could it be chrome diopside? Take a look at this thread: http://www.treasurenet.com/forums/rocks-gems/513625-wyoming-trip-again.html

Peridot would have more of a yellow tone to it.
