Well a good friend and 30+ year bottle hunting partner of mine sure didnt need a detector to find this maverick "Fraternal Club " token, probably from Cripple Creek or Victor Colorado. He found it a couple of weeks ago under the wood stairs of an old miners cabin he was preparing to move to make way for the new addition to the open pit gold mine. It was found in the ghosttown of Anaconda in the Cripple Creek mining district which no longer exists and has been dug from the surface down appx 100 feet,he said he searched "high & low " but didnt find anymore tokens or any coins. It is good to see a aluminum token in such good shape,as it was pretty much protected all these years. Anyway ,I just wanted to show off his token for him,and say good job !hope ya enjoy & have a great day.

Fantastic find. Thanks for sharing...

Sweet token! Amazing shape for a aluminum one.
The ground out here just loves to eat aluminum
Can never get enough tokens!
Carl

cool token for sure

Nice token. I always like to see them! HH

Thanks for the replies everyone !!! Carl, we have had this disscusion many many times , we have come to this theory, through many years of hunting,Aluminum tokens that are dug within a few inches of the surface are chewed bad ! at the same time we have dug up aluminum tokens 4 -5 feet deep while huntin for bottles ,that are perfect. The opposite is true for brass tokens, close to the surface ,sweet, 4-5 feet deep chewed. Randys was found under steps, but obviously got a little wet. And of course our theroy comes from our experiences in one part of Colorado.
