Who's hiding all the old coins???

***WARNING***
You shall see NO old (or new) coins on this post. If you feel you've reached this post in error, please hit your "back" button to return to more exciting posts. ;D ::)
I found some lead and a neat button at lunch today, but no coins. I'm dying here. :'( :'( :'( "A wheat, a wheat, my kingdom for a wheat!" :tongue3: ::)

My lunch finds were:
* A button with a train on it. Work clothes button possibly?

*Three pieces of lead that I'm hoping some of you bullet guys can ID for me.
1) A flattened bullet with no rings and a hole through it. Do you think someone wore this? Do you think there could be a small coin inside? (O.K., I'm reaching now)
2) A 3-ringer - Does this look fired?
3) A small bullet. Any idea what size this is? Old or modern?

*A whatsit with a pointed piece that moves back & forth. Any idea what this is?

*Harmonica pieces, a 1948 ball cock assembly piece (pat. #2520573), and asst'd other cr-ppe'.

Not much, but a few keepers at least.
Thanks for any help on the ID's.

P.S. Be gentle with your "no coin" comments, as I'm PMSing. (Presently Missing Silver) :o ;D

Re: Who's hiding all the old coins???

Thanks for the Funny Opening. Needed that. I'm told they're out there  Like the old train button though.

Re: Who's hiding all the old coins???

Nice grabs!

The moving pointy piece thing (top item in pic) looks to be and old fence gate latch.

Re: Who's hiding all the old coins???

Great Finds MM! I've been PMSing for about a month now. I usually am for far less than a week ::) Love the Button! By the way..is there any type of doctor I should see about my prolonged...ehm, condition?

I haven't found any silver yet this year either. Good karma will come your way Doug. I have a feeling your next coin will be a great one. Keep at it brother. I like the button.

The train button is cool MM. As long as you're swingin' the coil....you're havin' fun.

Thanks Ev.
If you haven't found silver yet then I don't feel so bad. I've seen your finds, and they have been awesome!
I've come to to point now that I either need to hit the ivy & tick infested woods, or find a new spot, then hit the woods in the winter.
Thanks buddy.

Thanks Dude.
I need to find a new spot or soak myself in Deet and hit the woods. I'm determined to get an LC and my first 1800's silver this year. I bypassed the 1800's silver with my 1700's 8 reale last year. ;D  Last year I scored big at the end of the year. Maybe a repeat? :icon_scratch: ???
The passion is still high though,
Doug

Thanks Nick.
I'm sending you an umbrella out tomorrow. I want to see a post from you soon Mister!
What kind of contest is this if you are not out swinging?

Thanks for your great replies everyone. That button was a pretty neat find. When I first saw it in the dirt I thought it was my first half dime. No such luck.
