Who's hunting this weekend? Chicagoland

Seems weather will not cooperate for a wrap-up hunt for 2009. With ice/sleet/snow and high winds I hope you stay out of the woods. Falling branches from all those dead trees hurt big time trust me. Wanna see all you back here after the New Year too.

Checked the weather downstate as far as an easy day trip ride will do, within three to four hours, rain, lots of it and wind. So here's to easy pickens on some sledding hills during the breaks for me.

Maybe we can work up a road trip around New Year's.... yeah right! Most of you will be cashed for that weekend too, eh?!?

I admire your drive and tenacity. I also regularly have check-ups with Dr. Skilling. His prognosis isn't too good, though. I tried to go for one more silver last weekend, very briefly, but was overcome with too much deep snow and surface trash to continue.

Sometimes I wonder about how nice it'd be to be independently rich. Ahh, escaping the cold and snow and vacationing down south where the snow isn't much of an issue. Just pack up and leave at will. I never play the lottery, but I got a ticket for my birthday and won $2, so...maybe I need to keep playing?

I am still in detecting mode but am trying to shut down for the season. I should probably be focusing on other things anyway...

We need to get a winter get-together soon. We were supposed to last year, but I don't remember if it ever went down (either way, I wasn't there, lol). We should meet up for some wings or something. Sounds like a plan, you in, Tim? Anyone else?

A couple of us are planning on research get togethers this winter after the holidays. Maybe that can grow up into group feeding. Always in, not always available though. Let's give the cabin fever some time to sink in and then see how hungry the folks get.... mwuhahahaha

I'm thinking just before cannibal period (early Feb.) but post Super Bowl.
