Sheessssssh...
Sick as a dog AGAIN !!!
Lady in front of me at 7-eleven the other day was coughing and sniffling... she made her coffee before me... and payed before me with 5 dollar bill...
I only had a 20 to pay for my coffee...
When she handed me the 5 back from lady...
I almost said hey can you give me another 5...
But thought about how lame that would end up being explaining etc...
plus line of people behind me...
I thought ehhhhhh... I doubt I will catch it.

Day before yesterday evening... throat was scratchy...
Woke up yesterday feeling it...
By last night I was down for the count...
All through night...
And fell like I have been run over by Mack truck...
No detecting for last few days... OR today...
And does not look like I am gonna be well enough by tom...
Sheesh I just got over being sick weeks back... lasted 2 weeks.

I feel your pain. Wife was sick 2 weeks ago and was just getting over it, here I was thinking I dodged a bullet and bam... Wake up Monday morning with an awesome sinus infection. 7 days later and it's still not completely gone. Missed out on goin detecting with a buddy on sat [emoji35]

Florida always gets ALL the crap going around...
So transient.

Invest in a coffee pot and make your own coffee. It will pay for itself in a few weeks. Do like I do and load it up ready to go before you go to bed - that way it won't slow you down in the morning.

The answer is because employers punish them for doing so. If people could stay home sick and still get paid, problem solved! Most modern industrial countries allow for that in their laws, but the US does not....

Sounds like you catch a cold easy, probably not eating the right food or taking care of yourself...I rarely catch a cold no matter who I'm near that has one.:tongue3:

Boat... I do make coffee... every morn... Member my coffee thread... ?
I do not have a travel mug... and the cup holders in my car SUCK.
BUT... I like DDonuts... Mcd's... 7 eleven...etc... coffee as well...
Always hit a stop before the beaches... or wherever I am going.

Now... when in my RV on the road...
Bad ass...
Pull in... park...
crank up generator...
MAke fresh coffee... watch the weather and some news..
Break out gear... pounding coffee the whole time...
Drop boat...
GONE !
Return for lunch...
Then gone till dinner...
Fire up the grill right there in parking lot.
oops...
And followed by an after dinner coffee and sunset.

Well SS...
You are right kinda...
I went out for an all night party at a sweet ass hotel for New Years...
that drained me...
Was drinking Jack on the rocks... and beer.
I was down for days.
That got me sick first.

2 people at the party had "just got over" being sick.
heh...
I even thought... wtf ? why come out and infect everyone.
Sure enough...
My girl and I both got it.

So that would never be abused I am guessing........Every fall I come down with Buck Fever it typically last until winter and I am allergic to winter. Then spring comes along and yep Spring Fever and summer well its summer and by then I am sick of working.........

Not good my friend, I like a drink as much as the next man, but stick to a limit and not the heavy liquor...just a guiness or larger and then I make sure I have a two day rest at least in between. Sugar my down fall I need to cut back on sweet things.:laughing7: I think the reason I rarely come down with ailments such as colds, I work out doors in all weather, it tends to harden you up I'm rarely cold.

And as far as "outdoors"...
Heh... been to England three times at length...
Sheesh man the weather.
I am always outdoors here...
But if it drops below 60... I am like stiff

Funny thing is I both like extreme heat and cold, been to hot countries in 40+ temps doesn't bother me, but would opt for a colder climate. I would love to spend a year in the Yukon.

Oh and my girl cooks great...
I would have floated away long ago if it weren't for her...
Sheesh I would be like my dad was...
Just forget to eat.

It's weird because I can't bare sugar in Tea or coffee, but put chocolate or cakes or ice cream in front of me...I will kill to get it.:laughing7:

I do not have a travel mug...

Well, then get a travel mug. That way you can spike your coffee with booze. I like mine with a healthy shot of Kahlua, and a little milk.

Double shot if I'm in a bad mood.

LOL... heh...

I BET... you and I may have crossed paths at some time if you are a hunter of east coast storms...
And I do think I saw a staggering drunk guy swinging a detector with a cup of coffee in his hand.. :)
