Widescan 3" x 18" vs 12" x 10"

I have a Vaquero which coil would be best for the beach?
Do I have this right the 3" x 18" will cover more ground but the 12" x 10" will go deeper?

Yes, you're correct. From what the others at the Tesoro Forum are saying, the 3x18 isn't very deep at all. It's mainly a "clad finder." Although some also find some good old stuff due to the fact that old goodies aren't always deep.

But for the beach I'd go for depth 1st and ground coverage 2nd.

That's my suggestion.
