Probably be a bit of learning curve with the Tesoro single tone.
But once you click with it you will be amazed by their discrimination,
And ability to pick good sounding targets out of the trash.
I'm sure it would be a good compliment.

If it was me I would compliment your AT Pro with new coils and a RNB rechargeable battery

40 hours? You have a long way to go before you discover the limitations of your machine.

Don't get the Tesoro. If you do, you'll never use the Garrett again. :skullflag:

Hahaha Terry.
Well that's kind of my story.
At pro is better than my ace 350 but still.
First day with compadre was also last day with my ace. Sold it about a month after. It just sat there.
But that doesn't mean it will be the same for you. I just clicked with Tesoro better. Unbelievable recovery speed and the disc is spot on. Great in trash. When you are running disc at a certain point it's silent for all below that and handles "averaging" of targets really well.

I can't say whether you will like it the same, being one tone and simple, but that one tone has alot of info in it once you get the ear for it.

Let us know what you decide!!

Great addition for quick hunts, as a backup, or loaner. You'll find a fun factor in the light weight and moderate sized coil and end up finding a lot with it as you'll use it alot.

I own both. I do not regret buying the mojave. My Atpro is prolly a little jealous.

Bart will be hearing from me tomorrow morning. Bring on the Mojave!

If you formally introduce your AT Pro to the Mohave, it may through compliment the AT Pro's way :tongue3:

I see you have a Sand Shark, which detector is easier for you to ID the target by sound? Do you like the nuances of a single tone better than multiple tones and a target ID number on the display? If you mainly hunt around water, the Mohave is not waterproof, and may not be a good fit for you. If the AT Pro fits most of your hunting style more, and you hunt parks, schools, and private permissions inland with the AT Pro, I'd look to another coil or coils in lieu of a new detector. I own multiple coils for my primary detector. A big 15" x 12" SEF coil for low target dense areas like fields. The bigger coil allows you to cover more ground per sweep, will give you a little more depth, (note: your target ID accuracy decreases after a certain depth). I have the stock DD which is what I normally run when I start hunting a site. If the site is trashy I will install the 5"DD. Due to it's smaller size it has great target separation. There are some permission I have pounded before using both the stock and 15" coils and yet the 5" coil sniffed out some keepers.

I have read nothing but good things about the Mohave, :icon_thumleft: it's just not my cup of tea.

I agree with you about the single tone, it sucks, but when you consider a lifetime warranty and a lighter weight machine at a fair price, that makes a big difference to me. Changing out coils is time consuming and a pain in the azz compared to just grabbing another machine and going with it. The Mojave coil is waterproof and that is all I would need for land detecting.
Called Bart today and they are waiting for the next shipment, maybe it won't be too long of a wait.

Don't discount the single tone.
There is a lot more character to it than the digitized tones you may be used to.
If you spend enough time with it and a good set of headphones
you will be calling targets better than Your AT.
Hope you enjoy it!

After you put in enough hours you'll begin to realize that you're able to recognize very subtle nuances in the single tone to make pretty reliable predictions as to whether a target is trash, or a goody.
