Hey Planet,

You can go out into the snow but at a point in temperture (around 20 degress and below) you may begin to experience problems with your batteries lasting. I have detected in the winter and have found some coins but for the most part depending on the amount of snow you won't get the depth you need (i.e. searching on the top of the snow).

I read on a website about batteries that heat was worse on batteries than cold . Actually they
recommended for long term storage to put the batteries in the frige .
