Wish you all the best. I've had one shoulder done & now need the other one done. To be honest,
it ain't no picnic. Couldn't believe how weak my arm was right after the surgery, but the therapy
will bring it back. Those therapists are good, just follow their directions & don't push it.
Best of luck.

Yeah, I wish you well. How did you do that sort of thing? Take care and listen to them doctors. Ever once in a while they come up with some pretty good advice.

I wish you well but I'm not going to sugar coat any thing. It takes a while to heal. My wife is very Athletic and has been through three. And she's only 34 years old. It takes a while to heal but, When it does, You'll be glad you had it done.

pinebarrens - How you makin out ? I hope all went well. I'm sure though that if you come
on-line you'll be typing one handed. Just take the pills & keep it in the sling. Hoping you
feel better soon & heal up quickly.

pinebarrens1,

Hope all went well. I had my left shoulder cut on in 2002 for torn rotator cuff and cartilage in the socket. Now I have to go in for my right shoulder, have a bone spur in the socket that is damaging the surrounding muscles.........

Nothin fun about it, I had a guy tell me, he went thru open heart surgery & it wasn't near the pain
of them darn rotator cuff surgeries. Surprised me, because almost nothing seems worse than having
the chest cavity opened up. I down-played it, I figured 'big deal, make a cut in the skin, put a few
stitches in that muscle, give it a couple of weeks & then back at it.' Man, was I sadly mistaken & surely
had a lot to learn. From overuse, I now have have a detached bicep & a rotator cuff tear in my good arm.
Joy unspeakable, I now get to go thru it again with two major muscles. Hang in there pinebarrens & I'm
sure the last thing you want to hear is, 'grin & bear it.' When it's hurting even those percodans don't help.

After my shoulder surgery, I slept in a reclining easy chair for the first 2.5 to 3 weeks or so.....

Make sure you do the physical therapy....
