Went to physical therapy from 12-1, and decided to try to get a hunt in, so off I went!
30 minutes away and a permission later, and I was enduring the best physical therapy I know!!
Went back to the home a friend & I had just got 5 Silvers out of between both of Us. I was just hoping for a V Nickel or Indian. I set the Deus2 up in the Legacy program, and maxed the Sensitivity out. I also adjusted the tones so that Nickels and Indians would be a lower tone than the screaming high I had set for Wheats, Silvers. It also helped that the ground was super saturated with water.
I was also swinging low & slower. Not as fast as I saw the guy that setup this program. The third signal I got was a 90-92, and solid every way next to a tree. I was thinking hu, a clad dime/quarter? Bam!! A Mercury Dime. Wow! At that point I was in gun ho mode!!! Found several copper Pennie’s that were missed and headed over near the road next to the large curb strip where a lot of good stuff came from.
I hunted it back and forth one direction overlapping swings and Wow!! Don’t know if We were just in a hurry, how dry the ground was before or what, but I ended up pulling 3 more Silvers and 2 Wheats from this strip. I talked to the owner and he said I could come back. I’ll be checking it again 🤦‍♂️ How many things do We miss due to conditions and such.
Barber Dime-1907O
Mercs-1919, 1920, 1927D
Wheats-1929D, 1924

I’m very pleased with this hunt. I know it’s not an every time hunt, and I’m very Thankful that it turned out so well. Even if We missed them before. Thanks for looking and

What an awesome day!

I'd be saying "Oh Ya" for sure.
Must if been the moisture that provides the abundance of missed targets. 😁
